Purpose#

This Legal notice governs the use of the website wovea.app (the “Website”) and of the Wovea service, owned by Wovea. Wovea is a free tool: you drop in a file or a text and choose what to do with it (translate, proofread, transcribe, extract the audio, remove the background from a photo and other actions).

Browsing the Website makes you a user and means you accept this Legal notice. The specific rules of the service are in the Terms and conditions.

Terms of use#

You agree to use the Website and its content appropriately and not to use them for activities that are unlawful or contrary to good faith and the law. In particular, you may not:

  • upload illegal content or material you do not have rights to;
  • try to overload or damage the service, get around its limits or access non-public parts;
  • scrape content or use the service in an automated, large-scale way.

Intellectual and industrial property#

The Website’s own content (texts, images, trademarks, logos, design and source code) belongs to Wovea or to third parties who have authorised its use, and is protected by intellectual and industrial property law. Reproducing, distributing or transforming it without express permission is prohibited. You may link to any page of the Website without asking for permission.

Some parts that run in your browser are open-source programs with their own licences (for example, ffmpeg.wasm and heic-to); links to their code are in the website footer. The files you upload and their results are not ours: they remain yours.

Disclaimer#

Wovea is not liable for any damage that may arise from the Website being temporarily unavailable or from users’ improper use of its content. Links to third-party sites are for information only: we do not control them and are not responsible for their content.

Data protection and cookies#

How we process personal data is explained in the Privacy policy, and what is stored in your browser, in the Cookie policy.

Applicable law#

This Legal notice is governed by Spanish law. To resolve any dispute, the parties submit to the courts that have jurisdiction under the law; if you are a consumer, those of your place of residence.
