About Wovea
Drop a file or some text, Wovea suggests what to do with it and hands it back done. Here is who runs the site, what happens to your files and how it is paid for.
What Wovea is and why it exists
Wovea puts in one window the things people usually search for when they have a file or a text in front of them: translate a message, fix an email, turn a voice note into text, remove the background from a photo, make a passport photo or translate a PDF. You don't need to know what the tool is called. Drop the file, Wovea recognizes what it is and offers only what makes sense for it.
There's no account, no email and no trial, and results come without watermarks. We built it that way because those are the things that annoy people most on sites like this: signing up before you see anything, or getting a cut-down version of what you asked for.
What happens to your files
It depends on the tool, and each page says which kind it is.
Removing backgrounds, upscaling photos, passport photos, converting and compressing images and turning video into MP3 all run on your device. The browser downloads the model or module it needs the first time, and the file never leaves your phone or computer.
Texts you translate, check, rewrite or reply to are processed on our server and are not stored there. Files you upload to transcribe, make subtitles, extract text, translate a document or write a listing are processed on our server and deleted after 24 hours.
Your results are saved in the library, inside your browser. We can't see it. If you clear your browser data or switch devices, the library won't be there.
Which models we use
The tools that run on your device use open models and programs: one model to cut out backgrounds, Real-ESRGAN to increase resolution, MediaPipe to find the face for passport photos and ffmpeg.wasm for audio.
For text, speech and reading images we use language models from Anthropic and Google through OpenRouter. The exact model can change at any time: we pick one that gives a sound result at a cost that lets us stay free, and we may switch without notice. That's why we don't promise a particular model, and each tool page explains what can go wrong and how to check the result.
How the site is paid for
Right now Wovea doesn't make money: everything is free and there are no ads. Later there will be a paid plan for people who want to do more or get higher quality. The basics will stay free with no sign-up, and we'll say so on this site before anything changes.
To keep bots out, one connection can run up to 60 AI tasks per hour. The tools that run on your device don't have that cap.
