Cookie policy · Wovea

What cookies are#

A cookie is a small file that a website stores on your device to remember something from one visit to the next. Besides cookies, the browser has other similar stores (local storage, IndexedDB, cache); the law treats them the same way, so we explain them here too.

Cookies in use#

wovea_tier

First-party · 12 months

Remembers whether you chose “Wovea Auto” or “Wovea Precise” for AI actions. It is only created when you change that option.

__cf_bm

Cloudflare · 30 minutes

Cloudflare, which protects the website from attacks, may set it to tell people from bots. It cannot be used to track you across other websites.

What is stored on your device#

IndexedDB: wovea

First-party · Until you delete it

Your library: the results of your actions and their folders. It is only in your browser; we can’t see it.

wovea.pendingJobs · wovea.waitingTasks

First-party (local storage) · 1 day

Long or queued tasks, so they can finish even if you close the tab. They disappear when the file expires on the server.

wovea.nav · wovea:device-sec:*

First-party (local storage) · Until you delete it

Whether you left the menu collapsed, and how long your device took for an action last time, to estimate the time remaining.

Cache Storage: wovea-models

First-party · Until you delete it

The models for removing backgrounds and enhancing photos on your device, downloaded from our website, so they don’t have to be downloaded every time.

sw.js · Cache Storage: wovea-…

First-party · Until the next version of the website

Copies of the website’s pages and files so the library also opens offline.

Why we don’t ask for your permission#

Everything above is technical or requested by you: it is used to provide the service you are using or to remember an option you chose. This kind of storage is exempt from consent under Article 22.2 of the LSSI and the AEPD (Spanish Data Protection Agency) guide on cookies.

We don’t use analytics, advertising or social media cookies, either our own or third-party ones. That’s why there is no cookie banner. If one day we added any that needs your permission, it would not be activated until you gave it in a banner with the accept and reject options equally visible.

How to delete it#

You can delete results one by one from the library, or everything at once from your browser settings: “Clear browsing data” or “Site data” for wovea.app (Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Edge all allow this). If you block it, the website still opens, but the library won’t be able to save results.
